Hemet, California - A pastor of a church in Southern California and two members have filed a federal lawsuit because their civil rights were violated by an officer of the California Highway Patrol, which now are accusing. The pastor and members were reading the Bible, outside an office of the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles), when they were arrested. The other two were later arrested for allegedly entering illegally. Jennifer Monk, General Counsel, the lawyers associated with Murietta, based on faith and freedom, filed the lawsuit April 25 in U.S. District Court against the police who forbade the preachers of the gospel, to exercise their free speech and unlawfully detaining them. Jennifer Monk, Mark Mackey is a member of Calvary Chapel Hemet who was reading Romans 1, when he was arrested on 02 February.
