In Compaq Presario CQ61 Notebook all the devices work properly on a clean install of ubuntu or debian, except the speakers.
To remedy this we edit the file:
/ etc / modprobe.d / alsa-base.conf
and add the following lines:
options snd slots = snd-hda-intel options
snd-hda-intel model = hp-m4
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel = 1
enable_msi
After rebooting the system, the speakers are active. Viewed
